As an enthusiastic participant in career fairs, portfolio reviews, and presentations, I’ve embraced the role of engaging with universities, colleges, professors, and students. My passion lies in supporting emerging talent by offering valuable insights on effective self-presentation and portfolio organization.

My role

Within the framework of my company, my role is primarily focused on talent acquisition and fostering partnerships with educational institutions and programs. This involves rejuvenating existing connections and forging new ones to pinpoint schools and students that resonate with our company’s values and goals. Through this engagement, I aim to facilitate opportunities for students to undertake internships, thesis projects, or traineeships within our organization. However, beyond mere recruitment, my central aim is to serve as a guide and mentor to these young talents, assisting them in navigating the complexities of the professional world and empowering them to advance in their careers.

Portfolio checks

In collaboration with digital-focused schools or programs, we conduct portfolio checks where colleagues from the company I work for, actively engaged in the students’ field of study, join me. Students sign up for these sessions, providing us with the opportunity to sit down with them, evaluate their portfolios, and give them valuable tips and tricks.

Presentations

The content of my presentations varies based on requests from educational institutions. At times, I share insights from my personal job application journey, discussing both positive and negative experiences. Additionally, I cover topics such as salary negotiation, professional self-presentation, LinkedIn workshops, and more. Furthermore, I represent the company I work for in presentations, providing insights into projects I’ve contributed to and offering guidance on navigating a career in a digital agency. These presentations are tailored to the specific needs of the audience. While I proactively reach out to schools to offer these presentations, I’m always open to exploring new topics. I determine the content collaboratively with students and educators, aiming to provide the guidance I once sought during my own studies.

My goal
