Plog the Day

Plog the Day is an initiative organized by I Amsterdam with the aim of cleaning up the city and reducing litter in parks and on the streets. The event brings together residents of Amsterdam who collectively gather and dispose of litter found on the streets. While participation is open to anyone, the event primarily attracts individuals who have a passion for running.

Concept

In the design course, our task was to create a website that aligned with the visual identity of the client, I Amsterdam. By integrating the client’s visual identity into the designs, I aimed to showcase their brand and effectively communicate the purpose and goals of Plog the Day.

Conclusion

The Design 2 course and the project involving the design of a website for I Amsterdam’s Plog the Day initiative provided me with valuable insights and practical experience in web design. Through this project, I honed my skills in applying design principles, such as visual language, typography, layout, and color, to create an engaging and cohesive website. Additionally, I learned the importance of understanding and adhering to a client’s visual identity and effectively communicating their brand message. This project served as a valuable opportunity for growth and further developed my ability to design user-centric and visually appealing websites.
